Can I start the GM post?
We leave for the ILs tomorrow, so today is errands, baking, laundry, and packing. I'm not looking forward to this trip for some reason - usually I'm happy to go but not this time. We have crap drama with DH's and my children, so I just want to skip the holidays and go straight to January and normal life. I'm not feeling any holiday spirit right now, and it sucks.
Did everyone have a good weekend? Fun plans for this week?
Re: Good Morning, Monday!
I worked all weekend so nothing too exciting. On Saturday I was so exhausted that I wanted to cry. Also, I tried to go underwear shopping and the girl convinced me to try on boy short undies and then I felt horrible about myself. I always look bad in boyshorts.
This week I only work Tuesday and Wednesday since I get 2 days off for working the weekend and I had booked off American Thanksgiving. We had planned on racing the Turkey Trot in Detroit but my friends have bailed on me. We're still going to hang out at a pub and watch the Lions game that day. I also have an OB appointment on Thursday.
Today I'm going to go for a run, have a massage and then I'm going to Michigan to shop for clothes. Hopefully I can find some decent pants.
Good morning! Not a shabby weekend over here. Josh and I spent Saturday picking out books to review for April--that's always fun, and I found out Ron Rash, Christopher Moore and Jonathan Franzen all have new books coming out. Onto the to-read list they went! Sunday we picked up a print we'd had framed; we finally filled up this huge space of wall in our dining room that's been empty for four years. It looks great.
This weekend was really awesome because, as of Friday, I have finished paying off my student loans! I am sooo happy.
Good morning. My Monday is not off to a good start. It took me well over an hour to get into work today (usually only 30-45 mins in the morning). This was after finding out that my car pool partner was bailing on me. Grrrrrrrrr...
Brunch yesterday was awesome. I got to hold Darian for a while, and it was really great to see kaesha and ringy.
Derek injured himself on Friday. He was moving around a pile of wood in the basement and several boards came crashing down on his big toe. The nail is all black and it's pretty swollen, so he was out of commission for most of the weekend. He opted to stay home today too.
Tomorrow I've got a doctors apt in the morning, so I think I'm just going to go into work late instead of coming in for half an hour and then leaving.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
Lespaul- I hope things get better with your ILs.
This weekend I had a good time overall. I went and bought all the stuff for my first Thanksgiving dinner so I'm looking forward to that. Saturday we went shopping for some things at Hobby Lobby, my new favorite store. Everytime I go I want to buy a crap load of things. Yesterday I got to meet up with a friend I hadn't seen in months and watch the Twilight movie.
Today I'm sleepy and tired and usual for a Monday. At least it's only a 3 day week!
Good morning everyone!
Can I just say that Darian is the cutest? Holy moly, between alternating between the side-eye and big smiles, he's just adorable.

We had a pretty good weekend, but full of errand running and whatnot. I did bake a loaf of rosemary olive oil bread on Saturday and a batch of oreo stuffed chocolate chip cookies on Sunday.
This week is like a holiday already because the boss is out of the country. Plus, we are only working until midday or so on Wednesday (half of the office is already taking that day off, so it might be come in for an hour or so for housekeeping and mail and call it a day).
I'm having five or maybe six people for dinner on Thursday, so the rest of the week will be taken up with prep for that and Friday I'm putting up both of our trees. Wish me luck keeping Rex out of them.

Morning everyone! Nothing too exciting this past weekend. Friday, B and I ordered in and watched Gnomio and Juliet. Saturday, I took the car to get emissions tested, ran some other errands, and then did some stuff around the house. Yesterday, I came into the office to do a bit of work and clean my office. It was a disaster. Then I took my grandpa for dinner, and caught up with a friend I haven't talked to in ages.
Today should be fairly busy day at work, but tomorrow is my fake Friday. I so can't wait!
LesPaul Sorry about the holiday shenanigans.
Good morning.
This weekend started out rough. See the post below that my purse got stolen. I was originally supposed to work Saturday but my boss said I didn't have too. I've been working crazy hours being the only one here. So Saturday I spent it getting temporary debit cards from my bank and a new drivers license. So far only one of my cards got used. I called fast enough for all the others but one wouldn't let me cancel it. 90 dollars was spent on Transit tickets, our rail line, and 400 dollars at a sneaker store. What irks me the most is those charges would never had happened had the credit card company canceled my card when I was on the phone with them, They told me they couldn't do anything about it.
Oh and I missed my race on Saturday because I out at 1am working my purse crap. So booo.
Saturday became better though, I cooked dinner for my friends. I made chicken tacos with homemade salsa, a black bean and fresh corn salad, and a cranberry apple crisp. Yum
Good morning! THis weekend was nice and lazy with Jordan not feeling to good we just hung around the house and did a few things here and there.
Tonight me and the boys are going to head to hobby lobby and target for some new christmas ornaments. I am not sure why I didn't buy shatterproof ornaments last year when they went on sale, but o well gives me an excuse to buy them now.
Good morning all!
Brunch was fun! Darian always appreciates a chance to get out and about, meet some August Aunties, and he loooves his new hat from Auntie raynes:
I'll be staying home today to catch up on some chores after a very busy week last week, but tonight we're heading over to meet up with some friends of V's from grad school.

Good Morning All,
This weekend was okay. We had a fundraiser on Saturday evening, I am not sure how it went but it seemed to go well. I enjoyed myself.
Besides the fundraiser most of our weekend was spent at home, DH is writing his final research papers for this semester. I tell you the stress is palpable. I can't wait for it all to be done.
We don't have much planned for tonight, DH has class and I will probably got to the gym.
Good morning! I had a good weekend. The charity dinner on Friday was a lot of fun and I believe that it was very successful. I got a chance to visit with a lot of my family and that is always nice. Saturday I went shopping with my mom and sister and then out to dinner with them and my brother.
Yesterday I pulled something in my neck early in the morning. I drove home and took it easy the rest of the day. My neck is feeling much better today, although not perfect yet.
Today I'm going out to lunch with a friend. I'm stopping for groceries after work because apparently if I'm out of town Kyle can't go shopping without me. He even complained last night about how there was no food in the house. I reminded him that I've been out of town for the better part of the past week and he is allowed to go grocery shopping without me. Then I have a ton of laundry to do once I get home. I'm happy to be home and back into my routine.
Morning!
LesPaul - I hope the holiday ends up being less eventful than you think it will.
Eva - that sucks.
I spent the weekend in Vegas and need a weekend to recover from it. I'm glad it's a short work week. Two little wake-ups and my parents will be here to see me!
Good morning ladies. I had a nice weekend that was both busy and relaxing. I went to dinner and a movie with my friends on Saturday. We started our Christmas shopping yesterday but are far from done.
After work I'm going to run a few errands. I'm going grocery shopping, then to Target and WW. I really want to run in and out at the store so I'm hoping they aren't too crowded. Hope you all have a great day.
I had a good weekend, expect I felt like a poo. I had a migraine and felt like I was going to upchuck. I think I was dehydrated, but I thought that I drank enough water. I had an issue with one of kids at work, but I Love and Logic him. I am talking to my boss to see what our finial decision is.
Today is crazy. I have a Spanish test, two meetings and then packing.
Les- I hope the family things calm down. Girls are redic. sometimes.
Beth- Boy shorts look bad on everyone, but they are so comfy.
Everybody- Have a great Thanksgiving!
Now jumping domestically.
Well that was a crazy couple of years.
Leo - I would've drooled through the whole game. Soccer guys win me over every time, let alone Beckham.
We did a ton of errands on Saturday, which was miserable, since Jackson has the beginnings of a cold. He just wanted to sleep and we kept having to get him in and out of his carseat, which wakes him up every time. He's just too big for his infant bucket now, though.
Sunday DH decided he absolutely had to go out and rake the yard and finish moving wood piles and such. I really wish he'd slow down some. thankfully, Jackson slept most of the day on Sunday and then pretty well last night. I really wish DH was that friendly when he has a cold. He's starting to get the sniffles now, too, so I have 2 big babies at home. Oh well.
Tonight should just be lounging around and making potato soup. I made pie last night, so that might just be my dinner. Hopefully I can follow through with the soup, though. We also have 4 other pies to make this week and start turkey day prep.
Evening! Only one more day before Thanksgiving break! I can't wait!
This weekend was fine...I went to see my BFF in Funny Girl, which was great. I also spent some time with another friend which was nice and I got in two good runs on Saturday and Sunday.
Sunday we went and saw Breaking Dawn...terrible, terrible, terrible...but of course we'll have to see the last one. Ed's comment was, "I hate that I am invested in this..." (ha!).
Today a friend from work who is on maternity leave for the year came in with her 5 week old baby--he was adorable! Then I went and bought 6 turkeys, 9 pies, and 6 gallons of cider for our Turkey Race at school tomorrow...I always feel ridiculous when I do this!
