Septa bus/baby question

Those not overly anal.

Whay do you think about traveling via bus on 76 without  a carseat?

Re: Septa bus/baby question

  • Until I read this post, I did not realize people brought car seats on buses.  I've never seen it...
  • I think I'd be more comfortable taking the regional rail vs. a bus w/out a carseat. With that said, I see people with kids on buses all the time.

  • I've never seen a carseat on a Septa bus, but I do see people holding babies all the time.  I have also seen babies in the carriers and the carrier placed on a seat with the parent holdng the carrier. I also know they get nuts about the coaches being open. I guess if you are comfortable holding Milo for an extended period of time it would be okay.

  • Regular bus rides don't bother me it's the concept of being on a highway I am nervous about.
  • I probably wouldn't bring a seat - are there even seatbelts good enough to strap it down?  I don't think the seats are level either, they are hard bucket like seats. Basically, I'd question the secure-ness of a seat vs. me just holding the baby.

Side note: I think it is weird that I can hold a baby on my lap on an airplane, but I can't hold my purse; it has to go under the seat in front of me.
