Vents

People use the word migraine too much. It annoys me. Headache =/= migraine. If you're on fb, you're not having a migraine.

I am so over the multi-wedding dress trend. Two dresses is AWish. Three dresses makes me gag.

I started AF today. Stupid HSG totally got my hopes up. The only silver lining to this is that when we go to the cabin I can get nice and drunk.

Re: Vents

  • My dumb ass had a bunch of Ellie's Christmas gifts sent to my old work. It's going to be a huge hassle to get them back but I called up there today and they were at least really nice about it and agreed to hang onto the packages so that my SIL can pick them up. I still feel stupid as shiit though.

  • My lady bits are purple and swollen. We're talking Barney purple.

    It's uncomfortable and disturbing.

I'm kind of peeved that there was no warning about purple lady bits in any of the pregnancy books I've read.

Sounds like someone's about to break his way out...

  • Also, DD, I agree with you about the migraine thing. Anyone who has ever had an actual migraine knows that FB is like, not even an option.

It sure feels that way. I have an OB appt. this afternoon, so we shall see.

Between the purpleness and the massive sideroll action from little boy, it feels like he's trying to bust free.

  • I got stretch marks AFTER Audrey was born. What's the deal with that???

I got stretch marks AFTER Audrey was born. What's the deal with that???

Dude, this happened to me too! I was so happy to be stretch mark free the whole freakin pregnancy, only to have them show up about two weeks afterwards. Luckily, they were pretty mild and now I can barely even see them, so hopefully that will be the case for you as well.

My vent - we've been without a washer and dryer since both of them broke down 3 weeks ago. We're at the mercy of the owner right now to either get new ones, repair them, or at the very least get them the eff out so we can rent a set on our own. But they've been dodging the property management, so we're in total limbo. So aside from the extra cost and time suck of weekly laundromat visits, we've had to switch to disposables since I can't really wash her CDs. That shiits expensive yo, and all the money we put into CDs are being completely wasted right now.

I did as well. I was PISSED. I have been using Mederma and they are pretty much gone... just fine lines now.

  • Somedays Mark makes me want to scream. We have a fireplace but no fireplace screen. We bought a screen we didnt like then ordered one on Pottery Barn last night. We also ordered stockings I have been wanting for years. Since we waited so long the free monogramming is gone and I had to pay extra. UGH. so mad.

I cannot lose weight. I am stuck and its my own fault. I need to get off my a$$ and start hitting the gym and making Mark watch Charlotte more.

  • I am doing a one week trial of an MMA gym I can't really afford. Why must everything be so expensive? Too bad I can't get into free activities like running. I hate that DH gets no paid time off. However, he still works really hard and I'm sick of my stepfather asking when he's going to get a real job.

  • Thanks zane & kel...glad to know I'm not the only one! The bad ones are on my bewbs. Probably because I went from a B to a DD after my milk came in. I mean they're not like horrible...I've seen worse....but stretch marks are still stretch marks!

I also have one on my stomach...which makes no sense considering it got smaller???

I have some Belli stretch mark cream, so hopefully that will fade them!

Correct.  I hate that too- I get plenty of headaches that aren't migraines, but when they are, I'm debilitated.

My biggest vent is having to oversee my husband's cleaning.  He's freaking out about wanting the deposit to the old apartment back, which is fine, I get it, it is a lot of money, but seriously, acting like he "can't see" soap residue?  It is gray.  On a white tub.   It is not that hard.  I vacuumed, did the baseboards, and waxed all of the floors in the house while he tackled a 5' x 4' room.

I got them on my boobs too Rach(the same thing happened because I had small boobs before and they grew so much right after he was born).  They are totally gone now and I didn't put any cream or anything on them.  I had heard that about people getting them after quite a bit, it is annoying!

  • RE: stretch marks -- BioOil works great, too!

Vent:  Over these last couple days Sam has just been out of sorts, and today is not exception.  She has become the queen of tantrums and I just don't have the energy or patience for it.  Sure, it might be teething... sure it might be her getting over this cold.  But honestly, I am tired, and it's becoming very, very hard to handle her when she's like this.  Right now she is sleeping, and I am rejoicing.

  • Thanks Genevieve...good to know!

Sorry MB! I feel your pain. Audrey is a mess today too...and has been for a few days.

Another vent...I called Audrey's doctor to go over her symptoms and get an opinion on what might be wrong. The receptionist wanted to put me into a voicemail and I told her no thanks, I want to speak with someone right away. Last time I left a message, no one called me back. Ever.

So they put me on with a nurse who was a b!tch. She was asking me about the last time Audrey ate. I told her I fed her an ounce of BM at whatever time after I had breastfed for 8 min. Then she says in a b!tchy tone, "Well, why did you give her formula after you had nursed her?" UM HELLO dumb b!tch, I said it was BM from a bottle and I did that b/c she was hungry but would not latch on. Thanks for questioning how I feed my child!!!

Then, she tells me, "It's ok to be concerned about your child, but next time, you really need to leave a message." WOW. Obviously I told her what happened last time I left a message. AND this whole time I have Audrey in my arms screaming her head off. Thanks, you are the worst nurse ever.

Also, to add to my day, Lola has peed in the kitchen twice since I haven't had 2 minutes to take her outside. OH...and she's destroyed 2 of Audrey's pacifiers.

That sounds like an assertion of dominance to me.... you may need to nip that one in the bud STAT.

GREAT!!!! What the heck am I supposed to do?

  • I still have stretch marks like WOAH, y'all. I'm just trying to learn to embrace them.

The peeing is probably a dominance issue, but as for the pacis, she may honestly just think their dog toys.  Cooper LOVES pacifiers.  He doesn't mess with any of Kyler's stuff except pacis.  I think he thinks they're chew toys.  We have to be careful to pick them up all the time or Cooper will carry them off and gnaw on them.

Also, that nurse was a total ***...can you talk to an office manager there and tell them how you were treated?  Or tell your doctor, once you can get a hold of her? There's no excuse for a nurse to be rude to someone like that, especially a new parent.  Pediatrician's offices have staff who should be COMPLETELY used to parents calling for every reason under the sun.  We called our doctor at least once a week in Kyler's first month.

My vent: My milk supply is getting lower and it's pissing me off.  I'm doing everything right, to no avail.  Blah.  Also, I am the pickiest person ever when it comes to choosing a photographer.  My newborn photographer just had a baby, so she can't do Ky's 6 month shoot.  Now I'm debating between 4 photographers and just cannot pick.  I'm always worried I'll choose one and then that person will do a shitty job, even if they have a spectacular portfolio.  (Like my shitty wedding photographer.)

  • Since I've started seeing the infertility doctor back in September, I've needed a referral from my primary doctor. When did I learn this? Last week, after I was checking out and then when I got home and found a bill from the insurance. Why wasn't I informed of this before hand? And to make things even better, I've only really seen my primary about 2 times before and she's not returning my calls. I have a feeling she's not going to retro actively give me the referral and I'm going to be stuck covering this bill. ugh.

Yeah I was thinking more along the lines of the peeing..... my dogs never cared for the pacifiers, either that or I've been REALLY good at keeping them out of their way.  But I know Freya has definitely been acting out at my parents' house whenever Sam's over there... not just peeing, but pooping and tearing into things she normally wouldn't care about.  Yeah.  Bad dogs.

The dog toys however?  It seriously works both ways... Samma wants to play with all of Loki's things.  It's kinda crazy.

  • Thanks Tara. Lola seems to love and want everything of Audrey's...I think it's just all new and exciting to her...and like you said, she probably thinks the paci's are toys or something.

Sorry about your milk supply! I am sure that's incredibly frustrating!

  • Oh and DD: Seriously!  Migraines are freaking incapacitating.  Staring at a computer is the most horrible thing to do when you have one.  I left work in tears once because I couldn't stare at the screen anymore without wanting to die.

Truth. I found one of Finn's squeaker toys in El's crib yesterday.

  • My first  child (Chloe the cat) is tres jealous over Nate and has taken to peeing on two of his booksAngry

I have to play with her more; totally my fault.

I go back and forth between accepting my weight and hating myself.  Maybe clothes shopping this week will give me my final decision....

Another thing, my husband is an idiot and didn't understand you STILL have to pay taxes from your old town since they are assessed from the year befoire.  Now his account is in collections. WTF...   The guy is an engineer with a master's degree...
