Didn't get much sleep last night. I woke up from an odd dream and had one of those irrational thoughts about H's safety on his school trip today. That kept me up tossing and turning for over an hour, and then when I finally was tired, Bernie decided she wanted to cuddle but couldn't figure out if she wanted to lay on my back with her head right in my ear, her head down by my butt, or just curl up beside me.
I'll be needing caffeine today.

Re: B&M Monday
I'm right there with you on the lack of sleep except I'm totally to blame for it. We barely got any sleep while in Columbus with friends and I had to wake up early today for work. Totally worth it, but still hard to handle when you're off caffeine.
I went for a run yesterday and there is now some kind of wannabe blister on the bottom of my right foot that hurts like hell. I can't see it, but I can feel it. No idea how to go about fixing it.
The positive thing is that after resting for a week I'm still able to run the same distance at the same pace as I could before my race!

I'm the third for not getting much sleep last night.
I had some whacked out dreams. I don't remember all of them but one was that we were at Disney World and one of my girls from school was there. Only we kept missing each other. And then we met up while in line for a ride. The ride was a Toy Story one...where you had to hide from Sid. WTF. I'm glad we didn't make it to the ride before I woke up. ahhaahaha
I'm the only US-based person from my team working at all this week --- and I really don't want to have to do anything.
Also, when Mark got out to Colorado yesterday, he found out that before all this happened, while they were out there, one of the prongs on his Mom's engagement ring bent and her diamond fell out. Awful.
Kate's Recipe Box || Relatively Bookish
So sorry to hear that, Kate! I'm sure it seems trivial compared to everything else she's dealing with, but at the same time, she really didn't need just one more thing going wrong, and I'm sure she treasured that ring.
My B&M is that my BFF is giving birth to her first baby today. Now, that's good news, but the bad news is that she lives in Chicago, and I'm so sad that I can't be there to support her, and meet the baby. I know it's for the best, and I'm planning to visit in February once they're all settled in, and in a routine, but it's so hard. Even though I've lived in NY for almost 12 years, I've always been able to go back for the big stuff.
No real B&M's for me. DH is home and Kenz slept for 7 hours last night!
Just that I woke up and it is still winter here. But, on the bright side the temperature is supposed to get back up above freezing later in the week. I hope I can take advantage of the balmy weather (in the 30's F) to go for some walks with Kenzie.
my smash cake looks like a giant pile of sh!t.
I will have picture proof later
This made me laugh out loud. Oh dear....
We hunted this time 2 years ago when we moved to NE. It seemed like our ealtor was way too preoccupied with Thanksgiving to focus on the task a hand. My only suggestion, have a back up realtor or 2 in mind incase the one you are working with sucks. I wish we had just canned our realtor and called someone else. IMO, there will always be SOMEONE in this market who is hungry enough, you just have to hunt a little.
Good luck!
My only B&M today is that my arthritis has reared it's ugly head again. Pregnancy makes it flare up badly, and it took me 2 hours this am to be able to close my fist tight enough to hold my toothbrush. It came on 2 weeks later this time (I was hurting by 32 weekswith A), but I also have SPD this pregnancy, which just adds on to the pain. However, there's only about 5.5 weeks left, and I know it will lessen once LO is here.

My Blog
Thankfully it's a short work week so I don't have too much to complain about!
-DH's mother is a PITA. I actually have other names in my head that I would like to call her, but I will keep it at that.
-The house across the street from us just went on the market. On the one hand we are hoping that another young couple like us will move in, but on the other we like the people who live there now and we are afraid of who may move in...also they priced it VERY low, which is not helpful for us if we were to sell our house in a few years.
- This is my last week "off" before basketball season starts (tryouts start right after Thanksgiving break). I love coaching but I've also really enjoyed just coming home and having time for running and the gym, keeping the house cleaner, and making dinners.
DH got called into work today so he wasn't here when I got home to give me a hug and a kiss.
It was cold today and I had to wait longer than usual for the bus. I could have walked and gotten home sooner, but it's dark and therefore not safe.
There's still a lot of painting to be done in our new house and so I can't unpack and set up/decorate the rooms until the painting is done. And DH will be working 7 days a week in December, so we need to get the painting done soon.
Having two families close but not that close together sucks. They are about 20 minutes apart. I wish we just had all the holidays at our house with both our families so we didn't have to travel and worry about disappointing either family. We aren't going to be able to do all this traveling when we have kids.
Before our last cruise, I was finally starting to lose a couple of extra pounds. Since the cruise, they have all come back. Also, I've been super hungry which makes shedding those pounds even harder.
I fell stepping off the stairs Saturday night and ended up in the ER with a badly sprained ankle. It is purple today and hurts. Pain meds are almost out. Thank goodness its a short week. Being on my feet all day -- because lets face it I'm not using my crutches in Kindergarten -- I want to cry. Plus, no Zumba for who knows how long.
To add insult to injury my first period in over a year and a half started
Tomorrow is our Thanksgiving "Feast" at school -- meaning I lost all my planning aka. pumping time. Awesome.
