uhhhhhh....my life is over (not really)
so..one of the things i've MOST look forwarded to in my mexico trip was swimming with dolphins. it's something i've ALWAYS wanted to do...we booked it and went on our merry way, happy as a bee or whatever.
today h went through the q&a and pregnant women aren't allowed to swim with dolphins.
i'm *so* let down right now. i don't know when i'm going to get another chance to do this......

When I swam with them you had to be in a swim suit and could not have any loose clothing or you had to rent at wet/dry suit.
can you help me find a tshirt that says this?

well i just called to figure things out and talked to someone.....i guess it's cause some/most packages include RIDING THE DOLPHINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how cool would that be? (but also really really really really sad).
they have a package called "dolphin therapy" that is safe for pregnant women...it costs twice as much (ours was only $59/person), but this one is $250 for two people, but it's individualized (while the 59/pp one was in a group), and you don't do the "adventure" portion of the package.
i'm trying to convince h this is the way to go. i'm pretty sure he'll do it, but he's in a meeting right now and can't call to cancel/reschedule.

the "problem" with this, is that h and i said that if we were to go again anytime in the next 10 years, we'd *have* to take the kids too. what kind of parents would go to a dolphin adventure, and not take the kids? *but* the problem is, if they do it when they're under 10, they might not remember it and/or want to do it again when they get older.
instead, we want to keep them in the dark about dolphin encounters, and let them discover it themselves in their late teens or twenties, where doing it once in their life is good enough...
and h and i don't want to wait that long to go.

Can't you just do the same thing as in dolphin group and just not ride the dolphins?
I say go for it. Once you have kids... I mean, it's not like your life ends but a lot of things become more complicated to schedule. It'll be worth it! Something memorable for a babymoon and something you can tell your kid:
