I'm sure most of you have seen my laments on facebook... and since I'm pretty much ashamed of the result, I'm posting it here rather than there lol
All started out well... here is the cake (I put the invite beside it because I wanted the colors to match in the end)

Then... and I don't have a picture of this because I was so ashamed of what I mess I had made.. after letting it sit for a half hour (obviously not long enough), I cut it in half and put on the frosting (store bought), which melted into a gooey mess that wouldn't stick to the cake.
So I sat and pouted for a little while. I wanted to start over, but I'm a half hour from town and didn't have enough ingredients to make another cake, or frosting. So I washed a big tin can and cut out a couple circular cakes and stacked them on top of each other (I'm laughing at myself while I write this)... and then looked through my cupboard for something to cover them with (all the while, Lance is begging me to leave them as is).
Then I found the peanut butter... chunky, which is not ideal but it will work right??? ... nope. I melted it and tried to cover it, and it turned into this:

yeah... see what I mean about it looking like a pile of sh!t?
so I put it in the fridge and waited until morning... and then I made it into this:

and then I put it on the floor and was happy to watch Wyatt destroy it.

and the moral of this story is that I will ALWAYS buy my cakes from now on.
The end.
Re: And this is why I don't bake (long)

Thanks girls lol! I was so upset about it hahaha. Luckily for me, Lance ate some of the wasted cake and said it was really good, and with the peanut butter it tasted like a reeses cup lol.
Wyatt had a lot of fun, here are a couple more pictures:
Haha! That's a great story, and it looks like Wyatt thought it was great!
