In case you care:
AF should be coming to town on T-day. With that, we (DH & myself) will be doing some repeat testing as it's been a while since we cycled. So long as everything's ok, the next time AF arrives (week before Christmas) I will be put on BCPs for 3 weeks to prep for IVF. This will bring us to early/mid-January (we get back from vacation on 1/6) when I will start Lupron & then overlap with stims (likely Follistim). My ER/ET should be @ the end of January. Then I get to experience the joys of what is likely to be the longest 2ww of my life.
If this works (*knock on wood*) we are 1 & done unless we are lucky enough to get some totsicles in which case we would give them a shot @ life down the road. The total cost for our attempt is about $20k; thankfully, we live in a mandate state so our co-pay is a mere $4k or so. Holy shiit.
I'm just so happy to FINALLY be able to do this. It's been about a year in the making. And in the midst of all of this I am dealing with having just found out my sister, who just got married in July, is pregnant. God, grant me the strength. Any spare good thoughts would be most appreciated.
Re: Update on me (infertility related)
I've been following along on your blog.
I am sure your sister's news took a toll, understandably. Thinking lots of good thoughts for you guys and praying this is it....and that it's triplets (kidding, sort of
) Hey, 3 and done is better than one and done, right? I had a friend who had twins (via IVF) and jokes all the time about being 'cheated' out of a second maternity leave simply because she was "efficient about her babymaking" lol.
Yeah, I work with a girl who dealt with infertility & ended up with ID triplet girls. She was so sad when she only had 1 embie to transfer & it ended up splitting 3 ways. Very rare, granted, but scare the sh!t out of me nonetheless. I'd love twins for the built-in sibling factor, but I'd rather not have the high risk stuff associated with it. Just praying for 1 healthy bean.

I really hope it works for you. And, thank goodness that you live in a mandate state. Good thoughts heading your way.
ETA: And, I just want to say that you are a saint for handling all of this the way you do. I know I've never had trouble TTC, bit I imagine if I did I would not be able to handle it was well as you do. Your humor and honesty always impresses me. I probably would've lost my sh*t by now.

I really hope everything goes your way this time.
I also love reading your blog. Your sense of humor and strength are both amazing.
Thanks! I've come close to losing my sh!t several times. I figure I will write a book about this once I'm on maternity leave!
Thanks!
