AW DH's surprise....a week later
Hey girls, I had posted a week ago Wed. that DH was planning a surprise overnight getaway for us! It was a week ago Saturday and we went to a bed and breakfast in a historic town about an hour away. It was a mansion built in about 1903 and it was a neat old house. They had a 24 hour chocolate buffet in the dining room with all kinds of chocolates (chocolate covered bing cherries, espresso beans, variety of chocolate candies, and M & Ms.) We had a nice room with a whirlpool tub and a veranda. On Sunday morning, it was a nice fall morning and we sat outside on the veranda. The whirlpool tub was wonderful!! I wish I had one at home. We also ate a very nice dinner out with a view of the river and the bridge there that was completed in 1994. It is a cable-stayed bridge and was one of the first of its kind. We lived it up and had appetizers, drinks, steaks, and dessert. It was a great get away for us and much needed!!!! I think it is my turn to plan a surprise next!!!
