Thanksgiving Plans?

What is everyone doing for Thanksgiving?

We decided to host it at our house this year. What was suppose to be 4 people plus Tyler and I has now grown to 15 people!

We are having...turkey, ham, dressing, gravy, green beans, butter beans, corn, homemade mac and cheese, sweet potato casserole, deviled eggs, 7 layer salad, rolls, pecan pie, coconut pie, candy bar cake, dips and snack foods for the people that come early.

  • We are going to a friends house. I am suppose to make a chocolate truffle and chocolate chip cookies. It is nice not having to think about making food.

    Good luck Carmen.

  • We're going to my parents' house to be with my Dad's side of the family.  My mom is cooking everything since she's worried that ppl will forget dishes if they are assigned something to bring (this has happened more than once).
John is going to make a White Castle stuffing that he heard about over the weekend.  It sounds terrible to me, but he is excited to try it.

  • Wow Carmen, good luck!!!

We go to my parents around lunch to eat the full feast, then to MIL's in the evening for dessert (but its weird bc we will be there around 6 and she wont be serving us dinner- just the others that will be there).

For my parents Im making: noodles, lemon meringue pie, pudding pie, and cranberry sauce

For MIL I will bring a cheeseball and a dessert of some sort.  Maybe this:

Oh wow, this sounds disgusting but Im curious LOL!  Post a pic of it next week :)

  • We're going to our friends' house.  They decided to scrap the traditional meal and we're apparently doing a BBQ theme instead.  I'm contributing a corn casserole (which I did make last Thanksgiving, but I love it, and it kinda works with BBQ since it's like a kind of corn bread), and I'm making a chocolate pecan pie.

OK you are going to have to elaborate alittle on this one. How in the world? I agree that does not sound appealing to me either.
