Delmar Stadium is being renamed in honor of my Great Uncle. It will now be The Delmar-Tusa Athletic Complex.

CONGRATULATIONS TO JOE TUSA!!! HISD Board members voted unanimously to rename the district''''''''s north-side sports complex the Delmar-TUSA Athletic Complex. What a honor given to a great American hero who has been such a positive influence on so many young people. It couldn''t have happened to a nicer person. We all remember Coach Tusa as our Head Football Coach who led the team to the State Play-offs in 1958-1959. After we graduated he left Reagan to be the Assistant Principal at Waltrip :High School. He retired after 37 years as a HISD administrator who was the district''s longest-serving athletic director from 1965-1989. Thank you coach. WE ALL LOVE YOU!!!!
