Does anyone host one lunch/dinner for both sides of the family? I am leaning towards trying this for Christmas.
Is there less drama with one big meal?
Another old nestie with a new name.
Re: S/O Thanksgiving
We are doing that this Thanksgiving. We don't typically try to see both families at each holiday though. One family gets Thanksgiving and one gets Christmas. So this year is my family for Thanksgiving, but since we will be at my house, we told the inlaws that they are welcome to come to us if they wanted to see us. Otherwise, we wouldn't plan to see them that day. It kind of puts the ball in their court and off of us.
If you think your families will get along ok I would give it a try!
My Ovulation Chart
I would definitely give it a try and see how it goes.
Pre-baby, it wasn't a big deal if we didn't see both sides. Now, one side acts like the world will end, if they don't see DS on the holiday.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA breath HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
No.
We haven't really done it. We've had DH's mom over for holidays at my mom's since she's been single. Before, we'd go to both mom's homes. I'm sure with the baby coming, we'll end up hosting more things. Just my side of the family (only counting locals) is 16 people, half of which are crazy drama queens. So lack of integration, has mostly been a call on my part for sanity of all. haha
