I have posted before but just took out a few books from the library to try to start an itinerary because I am a huge vacation planner even though I usually forget my research at home and just wing it when we get there. I just find the research to be fun.
Our kids will be 5 and 3 and the entire vacation will basically revolve around them, of course it needs to be fun for us but we will have a good time if they are happy...man that will sound insane to someone without kids I bet.
I have a list of suggested places to see but am having trouble figuring out a rough itinerary for the days. We will be staying at the Marriott County Hall (something like that) for 5 days. Any suggestions? Even if it is just a suggestion for one day of things to do.
We will also be staying in Northampton near DH's family but if you have suggestions there I would appreciate it too, especially for anything indoors in case it rains. I have started to research parks but that is it...plus I think we know almost all our meals in Northampton.
Re: London - need help...Northampton too if you know it
we used to take our godchild to the children's park behind kensington palace - it's really nice!!
Diana memorial playground in Kensington garden (also the peter pan statue)
Corams Field
Kew Gardens
Hackney city farm
Taking them to Harrods and visiting the food hall (sweets/candy section) and the pets area plus the toy dept.
Rambley Blog
I would suggest looking into this www.dayoutwiththekids.co.uk
