good (inexpensive) eye cream?

I usually use Philosophy's Hope in a Tube, and my eye/nose/mouth area hasn't gotten any more wrinkles since I started using it. But I'm implementing some austerity measures as we start TTC#2. Any good eye/wrinkle creams that are less expensive? Bonus points if I can get it at CVS or something.

Re: good (inexpensive) eye cream?

  • I use Benefit's eye cream (not totally inexpensive at $32, but comparatively to most) and I really like it.  It is a good balance of moisture and preventative.

  • I really like the Boots creams recommended here a while ago (thanks, MrsPhilDunphy!); perhaps they have an eye cream as well? (you can buy at Target...)

  • I use Oil of Olay Total Effects eye transforming cream.  I've been using it for 3 months now and I'm really happy with the results.
  • Yeah, I like the Boots stuff in general, but haven't tried eye cream. I like the Wexler eye cream from B&BW, but it's still not cheap ($20-30ish?).  BUT, I actually haven't used it since I started using my super favorite miraculous cleanser from DDF. It's definitely not cheap, but has done much more for crows feet than anything else so I think of it as a two for one. I use it sparingly and the bottle lasts forever (I think I've had my current bottle since Febuary and it still has a good couple of months left).

But, I have no idea if you can use glycolic acid whilst KU.

  • I have been using Kiehl's eye cream and moisturizer for the last few weeks and love it.

However, it is not cheap but since I recently had laser surgery I can't use any lotion that has any sort of exfoliating or peeling chemicals so this was the rec from the dermatologist.

yes, I got the okay from my OB to keep using my glycolic facial cleanser while pg.

and I don't have a suggestion for eye cream, I'm in the same boat, but I will give you a warning about a drugstore eye cream that I tried recently. Stay away from Neutrogena Ageless Restoratives Instant Eye Revive. It leaves a film under my eyes and when I put concealer on over top, I get all these little tiny clumps. It's gross, I'm not happy.

I was using one from Kinerase which is about $65, but lasted me almost an entire year and I loooooooved it. I was going to buy it again when Sephora had their VIB sale and get 20% off, but they don't carry it anymore.

  • I use the Target brand of the Oil of Olay Regenerist eye cream.  I love it and I think it's somewhere around $13 something a bottle.
