Doll Clothes = PIMA

That would translate to Pain In My A$$!

Dang those seams are tiny!  I cannot imagine how people sew Barbie clothes!

Sorry, no photos...I don't have an American Girl or equivalent size doll around to model.

  • I remember the first and only time I ever heard by grandmother curse - she was trying to turn the barbie pantyhose/tights right side out.  I had insisted that my barbie needed pantyhose.

  • Please don't tell me that! I just took a custom order for some bitty baby clothes.

  • Jessica--it wasn't too terrible--I just really don't like working with 1/8" seams (which a few of the pattern pieces required).  I was also a bit bitter because I burnt my finger on the iron trying to press those tiny little seams.  Are you using a pattern or making it up on your own?

  • Making it up on my own. She really only wants a few simple pieces, so I'm going to adapt some things I've already done for my girls and just make them a little smaller. I'm going to make a note to do a larger seam allowance. There is no way I'd be able to do 1/8".

  • I just make it up on my own and everything is elasticized. :-) As in fool proof.

Are they works of art? Heck no. Does DD love 'em? Sure!
