sometimes things just tug at my heartstrings
I had a facebook status today about my future being so full of possibilities and my ex MIL wrote, "Whatever it is, you will do great."
A month or so ago she was planning a girls weekend trip and she text me and said, "I wanted to extend the invite to family first before I open it up to my friends."
It makes me so darn emotional. I miss being a part of their family in a lot of aspects. *Sigh*

How nice!
Though I think when the family is nice about everything it makes it a little harder to deal with. When H and I were seperated my ILs told me "No matter what happens between the two of you, we will always consider you part of our family and there will always be a place in our home for you." Even though it was nice, it made the whole situation that much harder for me to deal with.
Major ditto. Several of XH family members contacted me right after everything came out, and what they said was really nice, but...yeah. It made it a thousand times worse, ha. Not that I would wish they hadn't said those things, but yeah. What a situation.
Ninja -- glad to hear it sounds like there aren't a lot of hard feelings. That's a good thing!
They see us rollin'...they be hatin'.
That is really sweet of her to pass on well-wishes!
This is part of the reason I hate talking to my x-mil. She is always on the verge of tears and it is so awkward and uncomfortable.
