Hey all!! I am looking past Thanksgiving and moving on to the Holiday baking and am wanting to know what is your go-to Holiday recipe? Especially with some bake sales coming up I am looking for some kind of easy recipes that people will still enjoy. TIA!!
Re: favorite holiday recipe
My grandma's Gooey Butter Cake:
Crust:
(2) pkgs. Jiffy yellow cake mix
(2) eggs
(1) stick butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine cake mixes, eggs, and butter. Mix well. Pat into lightly greased 9x13? pan. Push up a little on the sides.
Filling:
(1) 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
(2) eggs
(1) lb. powdered sugar
Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add eggs and powdered sugar. Pour over ?crust? into 13x9? pan.
Bake for 25-35 minutes, until the edges are light brown and the center is gooey. Be careful to not overbake.
Can be frozen.
