Two and a Half Men Question
I'll admit I don't watch this show two regularly. I've been watching some reruns and saw the new episode that night. I'm trying to figure out why Alan is so poor? I thought he didn't have to pay Judith alimony after she married Ryan Stiles's character? I know chiropractor's don't make anything close to a doctor's salary but it seems like he should be doing ok, especially living rent free.

DH used to really like this show. But part of why it is so stupid now is because of this question exactly. He doesn't pay Judith alimony anymore. He hasn't paid rent (or utilities or perhaps even groceries) in years. Chiropractors are still doctors and earn a decent living. Even if he's still paying child support, he would have been paying that money if he had stayed married to Judith. There's no reason he is THAT poor and it's just kind of too stupid at this point.
