Cranberry sauce (homemade, canned with the can rings still there, the other type of canned, something else)? I like homemade sauce. We always had canned though, and called it Plop. I thought everyone called it that until H informed me that was not correct. Oops. We even have a "plop dish", a crystal dish that fits a can of sauce perfectly on it's side with higher edges to hold it from rolling around.
Bread (homemade, brown and serve, biscuits, cornbread, something else)? Homemade preferably. I don't like brown and serve rolls but that's what we usually have. H wanted crescents, until he saw the price per package.
What sides do you love seeing on the table? I love seeing all the traditional sides, squash, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy. However, I don't eat anything but the mashed potatoes.
What sides do you wish you never saw again? Green bean cassarole (the traditional kind with the cream of grossness and fried onion flavored things), anything with giblets (my grandmother's stuffing apparently had the giblets in it, until one year they weren't chopped fine enough and everyone found out the secret).

Turkey (roasted, fried, something else)? Smoked is awesome. I can't stand roasted ever since my dad starting smoking a turkey every year, which is why I'm blessed that the ILs also have ham - which is what I'll eat this year.
Stuffing (Stovetop style, homemade, cornbread, something else)? Homemade stuffing, and my aunt normal makes a cornbread dressing that is yummy - but I prefer the regular kind.
Cranberry sauce (homemade, canned with the can rings still there, the other type of canned, something else)? We typically have a homemade sauce, but I think ILs have canned.
Bread (homemade, brown and serve, biscuits, cornbread, something else)? I'm thinking we normally have heat and serve, but there are SO many other sides at my usual Thanksgiving that no one pays much attention to the rolls until much later.
What sides do you love seeing on the table? Okay, so MY family has sweet potato casserole (or souffle depending on where you're from - and not the kind with marshmellows gross), mashed potatoes, 2 kinds of turkey - roasted and smoked, 2 kinds of stuffing - regular and cornbread, green beans, rolls, congealed cranberry salad, cranberry sauce, sugar cookies and typically 4-5 different pies. The ILs have turkey, ham, a green veggie, rolls, sauce, apple casserole and whatever else people feel like making, typically with only two pies. Comparatively it is quite sad. My MIL now makes a small congealed salad since she knows I'll have some.

Stovetop or homemade, but definitely out of the bird. I don't like it with dried fruit it it either. Gross.

Canned w/the rings (I buy the little cans all year to eat as a snack). My dad makes a cranberry relish, though, with oranges in it, and it's so good.

Bread is bread. I don't really care, and usually only eat a little bit of it.

My mom makes scalloped corn casserole, and I could eat the whole dish. She's the only one I know of who ever makes it for Thanksgiving, and it just doesn't seem complete without it.

I know I'm in the minority, but I hate green bean casserole. Goopy globs of cream of mushroom soup just aren't my thing. I also always pass on squash & sweet potato dishes. In my mind, dinner food is supposed to be salty/savory/etc., not sweet.

All of it. Mashed potatoes & gravy, sweet potato casserole with pralines on top, green bean casserole, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and my mom makes something called Seven Layer Salad with bacon and cheese and peas and lettuce and whatnot. LOVE that stuff. Also, pie. Any kind.
