need some nestie t&ps...UPDATED

I took our black lab Dixon to the vet this morning because he has been vomiting and having diarrhea for about a week now.  He hasn't been able to keep food down and he seemed really lethargic...definitely not himself.  The vet did some xrays and it seems that his food is stuck in his stomach and not moving through his intestines.  They are holding him for the day hooked up to IV fluids and giving him medicine for his nausea.  They also said his pancreas seemed inflammed.  I was a total wreck driving home without him. Crying  Hopefully we'll know more by the end of the day

Update: I spoke to the vet earlier this evening and Dixon's bloodwork came back with a "soft" positive for pancreatitis.  They are supposed to do another set of xrays and call me to come get him....hopefully soon.  No food/water for 24 hours and then gradually start adding water and then food back into his diet.  Fingers crossed for a negative second xray.
