So what is everyone doing for Thanksgiving? What types of things are on the menu? Going anywhere?
We will be hosting Thanksgiving at home this year! The totally awesome amazing runnergirl is coming over, along with another friend. Our menu will be pretty traditional--turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole, and a few other things. I'm excited--should be a fun day!

Re: Thanksgiving plans?
We'll be headed up to H's parents' house in Little Rock after work tomorrow. I've been told I'm in charge of mashed potatoes and a pie. I started an apple blackberry pie with white cheddar crust last night - here's hoping it turns out okay, considering it's my first time to ever bake a pie. I guess we'll just buy the stuff for mashed potatoes and I'll make them on the day of. MIL is a fantastic cook, so I'm a little (a lot) intimidated. Other than that, we'll have the traditional turkey, dressing, etc.
We will be eating WAY too many Thanksgiving meals.
Thursday, we'll go to H's family's for lunch. Then a double date thanksgiving dinner that night. Friday, we'll go to my grandparents' for lunch. And Saturday we'll be at good ole' Golden Corral for Thanksgiving with my other grandparents' side.
DH is making a pumpkin caramel cheesecake for the lunch Thursday. I'm pretty excited about that. He made a caramel cheesecake over the weekend for his brother's b-day and it was amazing! I might try to talk him into making a chocolate chip cheesecake (my fav) to take to our double date thanksgiving!

We're spending it in Dallas. We might spend Thanksgiving with some old family friends who live on the outskirts of Dallas, but that's not set in stone just yet. This year will be super low key for us - no family anywhere near us, my dad's still overseas, and H was supposed to come home, but he's in training and can't come home.
My uncle is hosting this year, so we're going down to rural southern OK to see the fam. It will be a smaller group than usual, likely. I'm bringing squash casserole.
Saturday we're hosting "Friendsgiving" here and eating Italian food -- gnocchi with beef ragu, antipasto, roasted Tuscan lemon chicken, roasted asparagus, tiramisu, caramel macchiatto cheesecake, and lots of wine (friends are bringing part of this). I'm really looking forward to this!
DH is going hunting Friday, so I'll probably spend the day at home. We'll probably spend the weekend just the 3 of us, enjoying a rare weekend that DH is off work!
We were going to host Thanksgiving here and have my aunt and 3 cousins over, but it's my uncle's weekend with them and we just ran out of weekends to have it. I'm a little bummed--I was looking forward to having them over and cooking Thanksgiving dinner for the first time. DH was excited because I bought a spiral cut honey glazed ham for the occassion--guess we'll have to save it for Christmas!!
