My dad left me a voicemail last night that he found my mom passed out when he got home yesterday. She has chronic pancreatitis and has had to be hospitalized before, but this is sounding very different. I haven't even talked to my dad yet because my phone was downstairs. He called DH, but for some reason we never heard the phone. The message he left him said that her EKG's were normal, but she was still unresponsive. It's super early in CA, so I just texted my dad to call me when he gets the message. It is so hard not knowing and not being able to be there.
I'm just hoping that she needs a few days of fluids and then can go home. These situations are always so scary.
Update- All of the testing they've done has come up normal. For right now she is on heavy sedation. Everytime they try to wake her up she is combative. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. We're hoping and praying that the doctors find some answers very soon. At this time I am staying in VA. The doctor told my dad that since her vitals have been stable, that it is likely she will come out of this just fine. It is just scary not knowing what the problems are and not being able to talk to her.
