Re: Who's around today?
Me. I'll be working from home over the holidays too since my new client thinks her requests are super-simple to accomplish even though I spend all my time in meetings with her rehashing the same exact stuff.
Working with her is like working with Drew Barrymore's character from 50 First Dates. It's not so charming in real life.
hahahah i have a client like this as well!!! completely second that! She some how thinks i can do 5 hours of work in 1 hour and loves to send me something at 5:30 pm (usually im already gone) and expects it done by 9 am the next morning.
Drastic!
Here. Unhappy about it.
We're kind of going out.

I am. I'm Canadian.
This is a random story because it's slow.
Last night I went to meet a gf for dinner and drinks. When I showed up, she was late (very unlike her) so I sampled some wines at the bar and picked out a bottle I thought we'd both like (it was 1/2 priced bottle night). I also ordered some food. A glass of wine and dinner had passed (and about 45 minutes) and I gave her a call. Turns out, she thought we were hanging out tonight. Oops. She ended up coming to meet me for a little bit anyways.
There was this weird guy at the table next to mine that kept eyeing me and being creepy. When my friend was there, he came over (completely wasted, which is unusual for this place we were hanging out - not really the kind of place where people get drunk and try to pick people up at) and started to hit on me. My friend pointed out my ring and that I was engaged, and I basically told the guy thanks for the compliments, but no thanks. He sat down at our table and just stared at me - all creepy like. I told him he was being creepy and asked him to leave our table. He wouldn't get up? WTF? He kept saying, no I'm not leaving. I finally yelled (and I almost never yell) Get the EFF away from our table right now. No movement. His friend came over and I told him to get the guy away from our table, which than this guy said he refused to leave. Friend and I got up and left and I told the manager about the creep. They took my bill and didn't make me pay, which I wasn't expecting and said they'd deal with him.
We ended up leaving instead of staying because the whole thing just felt like a sour end to the night. I really like this place and have never had any issues like this. WTF is wrong with people? Do you think if you get completely trashed and act crazy that is attractive to women? He was probably in his mid to late 30s BTW.
Me. Stuck here another 4 1/2 hours.
And dog, that is one bizarre, creepyass weirdo.
