I could also use some vibes.
I went in for an appointment at my midwives yesterday and my blood pressure was elevated. I didn't have any protein in my urine and this is my first elevated blood pressure read, but they are worried about it nonetheless. I have to do a 24 hour urine collection on Sunday and go in for another check up Monday and an ultrasound. I also need to monitor my blood pressure at home a few times a day. Can I get some vibes that this is just a fluke and a random off day for me and everything goes back to normal.
Re: I could also use some vibes.
Definitely will do! We want that baby in there a few more weeks at least.
I know this may sound silly but did they check your BP after the appointment. With Ava I had a huge family drama issue and when I went in for my appt it was elevated and she had asked had I been stressed. Technically it was borderline but she waited until my appt was about over and rechecked and it had gone down a little bit....so that could be a possibility for you.
None the less I hope that everything comes back normal for you!
vibes - hope everything is okay.
They did recheck it and it was still high. I checked it again when I got home and it was lower. Still high for me, but not considered high anymore. Same thing when I checked this morning a little up from my normal, but not high. I have had issues with blood pressure in the past, but weight loss helped lower it significantly and it has been a year or so since I have had such a high read so I have a cuff that I use to test occasionally at home. I admittedly haven't been paying close enough attention to how much sodium I have been eating lately and I am sensitive to that. I am hoping that getting my sodium intake back under control will help.
Lots of vibes! Hope your bp goes back to normal so you can relax, and while, have lower bp
, soon! Hang in there!!! To both you and baby C!
Stay hydrated, reduce sodium, and get some rest. Hopefully it is not starting a trend of increasing. Just know that you can take meds to help reduce so you can go full term. If you have any questions about pre-e or pregnancy induced hypertension, just let me know.
