Anyone have a link to expediting the passport process? DH's grandfather just passed away so we may be going to Scotland for the funeral.
Also will the baby and toddler need one too?
TIA

Re: Passport info
Thanks. He just passed away last night so arrangements haven't been made, so likely it will be after the holiday here so we can get there. I hope they are open on Friday. Thanks Lachute, this isn't how I wanted to make my first trip to Scotland.
My tip for taking a photo of a baby...take a white blanket or sheet, put it over the carseat, then sit baby on it. Much easier than trying to hold LO up in front of the white screen.
Apply for a Passport Passports Schedule an Appointment
The agency is open on Friday. The agency doesn't take photos, but there are places in the area that do. Your baby and toddler will need their own passports to travel.
ETA: Minors Under Age 16
or have them lay the backdrop on the ground and lay the baby down. we did this.
you will need the long form birth cert for the kiddos at a minimum. we had that and the ss card with us. i am also pretty sure BOTH parents need to be there for signature or you need a notarized form with the other parent's signature on it.
sorry for your loss. there will likely be a fee for expediting the passports, but they will be good for 5 years so you can return to scotland for a happier event without renewing.
I needed a last minute passport a few years ago and had no time to make it down to the city to go in person. I used this website: www.TravelVisaPro.com .. They were super speedy (you fedex overnight them the photos & info, and they fedex overnight them back to you). The cost was only a little bit more than going in person in CC, so to me it was worth it. If you're in the city, it may not be.
