I ended up staying late at work to get something going before the end of day, so any plans for a remotely healthy dinner got thrown out the window. Pan fried burgers and oven fries it is!
Hopefully tonight will be better. One of my carpool partners (the one I drive in and back with) has been a giant flake this week, so I've had to drive myself in each day, which blows chucks, as it takes about 20 minutes longer when you're not in the carpool lane.
Today at lunch I think I'm going to go shopping for my SS, pick up some things at Michael's that I need for our Christmas cards, and then get a giant take out salad.. Yum.

Yesterday was my last day of school before Thanksgiving break. We had another great Turkey Race with the kids. Then I had high hopes of coming home and running--until a friend invited me out for drinks. So we went out (about 7 of us) and then a couple of the girls went for manicures...so all in all, a fun night.
We woke up to six inches of snow this morning, so Ed decided to take the day off. We had some yoga time this morning and now are just lounging. I need to run in a bit (on the treadmill, since it is still sleeting outside) and then start some holiday baking!

Morning!
Today I have a half day at school, and then by the end of the day I will have a new niece. Jane Eyre will be making her appearance 5 weeks early today, due to some blood pressure and infection issues. I'm hoping everyone is OK.
Then I have to do last minute grocery shopping then I'm going to start pre-making a lot of the food for tomorrow.
I'm very jealous of all you ladies who are off work the next few days! Instead I'll be stuck in 2 days of training, with a big presentation on Friday. Bleh. We'll be trying to have some turkey this weekend to make up for it.
We had fun last night at tennis, but Nadal was not in top form and Federer totally dominated, so it was failry one sided. Always good to see them play though. Tonight will be quiet, with leftovers for dinner and hopefully make some progress on Christmas shopping and our holiday cards.

Hello! I'm at work, but only for 3.5 hours--then it's five days of freedom! We do have things to do at work, but we should be able to take care of them with no problem.
Last night was very low key--Josh came home exhausted and didn't want to do a thing (not even have dinner), so I made myself something small, finished my book and went to bed early. It still feels like I didn't get enough sleep, though--hopefully I can catch up over the next few days.
Oh, and hilarious: Josh was looking to buy a certain t-shirt and found this old thread of ours. He was dying at auntb's and karynjoel's answers. Then he asked what else I said about him here.
MO- Hope baby and momma do great! Update us please!
Chica-That old post made me laugh. I also miss some of the ladies that posted and aren't around anymore!
Last night was nice we watched santa paws and make acorn cookies to take to my grandmothers for thanksgiving tomorrow. I made a easy but very good dinner and preston ate so much I thought he was going to pop. I finally had to tell him no more and go put him in the tub to get his mind off of it.
DH is off tonight so I will be finishing up my cooking and packing his and the kids stuff to spend the night with his parents tomorrow night. We are going out there for supper then I am leaving to go shopping. I have talked him into just staying out there with the kids so his mom can help him. He is such a heavy sleeper I am always worried preston is going to wake up and he isn't going to hear him.

Good morning! Today should be a short day at school and work but I hope to get out early. I still have some things I need to buy for tomorrow's Thanksgiving dinner.
Last night we had a last minute dinner invitation from some close friends. They broke out the news that they are expecting. I'm super excited for them and at the same time I wish we could start TTC. I guess I'm beginning to have baby fever...oh boy...

I had a nice evening. I got in the best workout that I've had in a long time. I was really feeling like I needed to get back in to working out going into the holiday season. Then I relaxed and watched some college b-ball.
Today I am currently the only person at work on my side of the hallway. I'm hoping to get out of here a little bit early. Then we're headed over to Kyle's grandma's house after work tonight. His sister will be announcing her pregnancy to the rest of the family and Kyle's estranged aunt, uncle and cousins will be there. This will be there first event other than attending his grandpa's funeral last year in ~20 years. It's going to be interesting to see how this all works out.

I stayed up to late and got absolutely nothing done.
My parents fly in tonight and I'm excited to see them. I sort of feel bad that they left both my brothers and their families behind for Thanksgiving just to see me.
TGIFF! Thank god it's Fake Friday. As expected last night was low key. We had homemade burgers with french fries for dinner. Watched tv and OMG, SOA and HIMYM! No spoilers in case you haven't watched. I'm supposed to leave work at 3 but I'll probably leave earlier than that. I just have a few things that I have to do today and then I can go. I can't wait for the long weekend.
Tonight DH and I are going Christmas shopping before the crazy shopping season begins. MIL is going to watch LO so we can get as much as possible done tonight.
I'll start off saying that DH and I were pretty convinced that we weren't going to be able to spend Christmas with my family this year as I was working till the 24 and we just didn't have the cash needed to pay for flights....it costs more for us to go home than to go to Europe. Last night I got a call from my mom. My mom was able to get us tickets for a flight on Christmas Morning. I am so unbelievably excited, we haven't spent Christmas with them for two years so it is a pretty big deal. (The last Christmas at home was when Ben proposed.)
Today nothing to much going on, probably just low key. DH is still working on papers so I'll probably go to the gym and such.
OMG Chica, that old post is hilarious! And it's making me feel not so alone since we're unpacking things from our storage unit and E refuses to get rid of anything. It's so frustrating.
E is home sick from work today, which means he'll be a total baby. Why do men do this when they're sick? Otherwise I'll just be food shopping and starting som dishes for tomorrow. Yay Thanksgiving!

Well that was a crazy couple of years.
I've been home with the munchkin today. Just got back from the pediatrician. Holy moly has he grown like a weed! I'll post details in the babies and bumps post, though.
Tonight I'll make the bacon/cheddar scones for tomorrow's dinner. I'm also making a broccoli/rice casserole, so I'll get that ready to go in the oven first thing.
I finally watched HIMYM last night. OMG! I can't wait until next week. Should be interesting.
Off to spend some quiet time while Jackson is still sleeping in his carseat from our errands this afternoon.
Today was fairly uneventful at work today and now I don't work at the hospital until Monday! I do have a 4 hour shift in retail on Friday night but otherwise I'm off for 4 days.
I'm starving and pounding back some leftovers right now. Yum.
This morning I got to run on the treadmill at the gym. Unfortunately the 'flailing arm" guy got on the treadmill beside me and that's just distracting. It's not like he has a twitch, he'll grab weights and make awkward movements like he's getting some benefit to flailing while walking. He's so weird. I've seen him doing some wacky things over the years.
