SO Commuting - Winter Footwear
The Minnesotan in me wants to get some fuzzy Sorels to keep my tootsies warm and cozy during my commute, but that might be going a little overboard for this climate.
For those of you who walk/metro to work, what do you wear?
Re: SO Commuting - Winter Footwear
Some crappy tennis shoes for the most part. I keep my good shoes at work and just change when I get there.
If it's snowing or there is snow or ice on the ground, I have a pair of cheap snow boots I will wear.
I need some rain boots though. I'm thinking for Christmas or black friday.

I don't metro - but I wear boots to work when there's snow on the ground.
I have a pair similar to these, except they're plaid. I also have a pair of Uggs. Both boots are awesome, toasty and comfortable.
We make the rockin' world go 'round.
Last year I had a pair of Merrel boots. I'll see if I can find the link in a bit. They kept my feet toasty warm and dry throughout the winter. I can't get by with sneakers when the temps get below 30! My tootsies freeze!
Stand up for something you believe in.
I got these insulated boots at Payless last year: http://www.payless.com/store/product/detail.jsp?catId=cat10088&subCatId=cat10045&skuId=064461095&productId=64000&lotId=064461&category=&catdisplayName=Womens
They weren't that expensive and kept my feet warm and dry. I change into my real shoes once I get into work.
I wear some tall grey boots with the sweat material on the top half of the boot
