I already have two consults set up in the next couple of weeks for comparison; one recommendation by a friend of a friend?s wedding was at the same venue as mine. The other one is on the venue's list of recommended vendors and I am aware they are pricey, but who knows, they might be that good.
Anyone know of or worked with Petal's Edge and Amaryllis?? I might do a consult with DaVinci's, or the onsite florist Greenworks, only if those two don't meet our expectations/budget. I was dismayed to learn Growing Wild and Holly Heider Chapple had minimums. Drats. I don?t mind the minimums or even the price per item but the actual quantity of items I need is for a 40 person wedding and not a 150 person wedding so I wouldn?t be able to meet that minimum without going crazy with the amount of flowers.
I'm finding I'm most nervous about the flowers, I liked my flowers the first time around but the color scheme was flipped. Nada I could do. Yikes!
And thank you in advance for glowing/negative reviews and anyone you think will do a better job!
Re: WR: I feel guilty but I wanna ask, the florists
Ooh, I didn't know other people even knew about Holly Heider Chapple! She was my florist and I loved her SO MUCH.That sucks that she has a minimum--I never realized!
That said, I was a BM in a wedding that used Petal's Edge and the flowers were *gorgeous*. I would definitely recommend meeting with them.

How do you mean less flexible?
I used Barbara, don't remember her company's name.
BTW, if you need a DOC or a full-on planner, I have a great one for you. Just page me and I'll give you her info.
We also used Linda from Heaven on Earth and loved our flowers!! Her prices were so reasonable and she was just wonderful to work with. Definitely don't judge by the website appearance.

It was also between Petal's Edge and Heaven on Earth for me. I went with Heaven on Earth mainly because of price. For my centerpieces, I wanted a mix of mint julep cups and vases. Petal's Edge wanted to rent me real silver cups and vases whereas Heaven on Earth suggested plastic, which looked just fine and were substantially cheaper.
