Re: BR Poll (PsIP)
Many people tell us the same thing with Z, and my response is, "You can go ahead and be his agent, and we'll give you a cut." LOL! I wouldn't have the first clue where to go or what to do.
A guy that I work with has a grand daughter who is a Payless and DSW shoe model for their toddler/kid lines. She got that job by auditioning for a Tide commercial.
Thanks Amanda! We have already contacted a company that handles everything....initial photo shoot, putting together comp cards, and marketing to agents/talent scouts. At this point it is just a matter of getting the photos taken. If you are really interested, the companies website is www.interfacenetwork.com
He's adorable. I think he looks like a baby from gap or carters AD :-)
Yes, he's adorable and probably could be a baby model--I know nothing about the baby modeling circuit so I have no idea how competetive it is.
I'm gonna play the devil's advocate. Here's some things to think about:
1. Since he has no say in the matter, do you think it might be something that causes issues down the line for him?
2. What if you spend all of that money and he doesn't land a job?
3. If he does get a job, how much say do you have over the company creating th ads? Woudl you be able to step in if they were to do something you were opposed to once you signed the contract?
Those are all things I would have issues with if my child were ever to become a baby model. If you've thought about it long and hard and think you're comfortable with it, I say go for it.

Our crazy, wonderful life
I hope I didn't come off as a biotch. I was just giving my honest input :-)
And, I do believe these are the first pics I've ever seen of him!

Not at all. I appreciate the input. These are the first pictures. We weren't putting anything online at all, but if he is going to model, his photo will be out there anyway. So know there will be plenty of photos online! I think this weekend I am going to create a facebook album going back to birth.
Sweet! Can't wait to see them. :-)

I modeled when I was 18. I did what you are considering. Went to an agency, they did my photos etc. After I paid for that...nothing. On my own I found a casting agency. You submit a few specific photos and your height/weight/hair etc. info. They contact you if you fit criteria that someone is requesting. I landed several jobs this way...the free way. I did some work for Gap and was an extra in The Wedding Planner and Nash Bridges (older tv show.) I suggest starting this route if you can. If he has "the look" that a company wants, he can get the job with out you spending money. I don't know if this would help you outside of the San Fran area, but here is a link to the casting agency I used. http://www.beaubonneaucasting.com/
Good luck!
First, he's adorable. It's so great to finally see him
I can see how he'd have a look they'd be interested in. Your H is african american (or mixed, right?) So, Ben is too and he has an interesting more "ethnic" look that I feel like you see in Gap / JCrew type ads. I don't mean that in an offensive way - just that his background and races have created one cute kid!
Anyway, together they have some of the most stunning kids.
My teammate and her husband are both 1/2 black 1/2 white. My friend is Panamanian and German and her husband (who is a model) is Jamaican and Swiss. He is very good looking
Thank you Heather (that is your name, right?). We understand that there is the risk of losing our initial investment. I just wouldn't even know where to begin with doing it ourselves. And the company does has over 80% of the people they do this for get work from it.
Megan, Thank you! Gregg is mixed (Ethiopian/White). One of the things the woman we met with said is that Benjamin looks like he could be from almost any ethnic background, which would get him more work. She also said dark hair/blue eyes is the #1 requested look.
