Who is decorating for Christmas this weekend?

Re: Who is decorating for Christmas this weekend?

  • I put up the stockings on Monday, and plan on putting up our tiny 2' tree tonight or tomorrow.  I don't really decorate for the holidays, so I keep it really simple.

  • Guess I'm behind!

I married the Grinch, so I'm super excited my mom insists she help me put up our tree on Friday. We don't do much, and honestly the first foot or so of our tree doesn't get ornaments because the cat breaks them.

  • Well, I had thought to do our outside lights because I really want to make our new porch look all festive and then have someone take a picture of our household sitting on it to put in our Christmas cards. But, the weather is supposed to be NASTY rainy all weekend so we'll probably wait another week. Inside decorations won't be fore another weekend at least just because I have other stuff planned that I want to get done.

  • I normally do it all on Friday and "Surprise" the hubs but I don't think I should be climbing around and pulling the too heavy tree around so I will try to get his help Friday night to at least get stuff semi set up. Actually decorating the tree could be fun after the DAWGS WIN on sat =)

  • I don't usually start until at least December

Haha@  This is the first year we've done anything before December, and usually it's at least a week (or two) in before we have the tree up and decorated.

  • I am! I want to decorate early so I'll have lots of time to enjoy it before H and I head to NC for almost 2 weeks. This is the first year I get to decorate my own place! I never did in school...

  • I will start on Friday, after shopping and a nice long nap! I'm not sure how much of it will go up right away, but I'm excited to get started.

  • I'm ridiculously excited to start decorating. Well, it will be me dictating while DH (and maybe his sister, if she's still here by then) decorate.

I'm curious to see how our decorations will work in our new place.

  • me! dh had one of the neighbor kids put up the house lights last weekend and i had to drag everything out to get to the lights. i didn't want to put it all back and have to take it out again.. so it's still sprawled all over the garage. i'm putting the decorations up this weekend so i can put everything back away and get my car back into the garage. and we're also getting our tree on sunday.
