Do you have any family traditions you carry on?
Re: Thanksgiving Traditions
Growing up my dad always made a big breakfast while us kids watched the parade. (I plan to beg my dad for chocolate chip pancakes tomorrow!)
With the exception of a few year that it wasn't possible - our Christmas tree always went up the day after Thanksgiving.
Now jumping domestically.
Well that was a crazy couple of years.
My family didn't have any traditions. With my parents' divorce I alternated years with them so nothing was really stable.
My own tradition that I've started is getting the tree on Thanksgiving night. And watching the parade while I cook. I'm not cooking this year, but I'm still going to watch the parade. And when John gets off work we're going to go get our tree :-)
