Okay, Barney and Ted were acting all sorts of crazy and decided to adopt a baby together. Keeping in mind, three weeks prior (they mentioned the timeline multiple times), Barney dumped Nora to be with Robin but Robin didn't follow through and dump her boyfriend.
Lilli and Marshall decide to have thanksgiving at their parent's house in Long Island - not quite sure, but I think they have decided to live there. Robin gets mad about this decision and locked herself in the bathroom.
A lot of worthless stuff happens but then Barney and Robin end up in the bathroom together. He was mocking Ted's decision to adopt a baby (purposely leaving himself out of the story) and says something like "Ted actually wanted me to adopt the baby with him, can you imagine what kind of father I would be?"
Robin sits very still. Then said, "I am pregnant."
I am officially pissed at myself for somehow managing to not set the DVR this time. Thanks for filling me in!!
It was the STUPIDEST episode ever and I nearly turned it off but I have learned that the dumb episodes make the biggest impact.
And it did. Oh, it did!
