Stupid ? Re: reflux

So, can Jovie have plain, adult soy milk or is there something special she can have? She never had any problems with reflux as a baby, but here I am with a 21mo and she just developed it. I noticed that she 'urps' the most after a cup of milk, so I should cut that out. Any other things that could help her. This is all so new to me and she is a toddler, not a newborn dealing with it. Oy!

Re: Stupid ? Re: reflux

  • DS had reflux as a baby but is fine now. The biggest issue was him chugging too fast (he could put away twice as much food as 'normal' for a baby his age and that was a big contributing factor to how bad his reflux was).

Is she drinking too fast? If this is a sudden onset could there be another issue causing the reflux (diet change or increase in certain foods with acid (tomatoes) citrus or high fat or perhaps even a minor hiatal hernia can cause it). I would be suspicious if this has never been an issue before.

    Anyway ... good luck!
