AW - "action shots" of the kids christmas outfits

I like to do casual christmas outfits and then fancy for Christmas Day.
Well, we went to see Santa today and they wore the casual stuff that I made for them
And some shots so you can see the whole outfit
The "tights" are actually knee socks that I cut the heel off of and stitched closed. So, they are thigh high socks for them lol. I did not want to do baby legs, so I just left the feet on. Worked perfectly

I only did this because I COULD NOT FIND TIGHTS - yes, in all caps. It is not like I was looking for christmas tights in July. Nada. So, I knew that I could make baby legs out of socks, and even that was hard.
tons of ankle type of socks, and even these are really only midcalf or so. Which was another reason why I kept the feet on, gave a few more inches.
I found these in Walmart, in the non-kid sock section. They were a two pack, the other ones are a snowflake (maybe) for only $3. I mention that they are in a two pack since these were actually the pair on the backside.

I swear as soon as the holiday season actually arrives. Finding tights is like finding a fresh turkey the day before Thanksgiving. Its a stinkin miracle! I stocked up on tights in Sept. I learned my lesson last year. LOL Thinking I could just drop into Target a grab a pair before the Christmas party. No such luck.
Truer words were never spoken! It can be a challenge just to find white ones sometimes. I am keeping the idea of using socks though--I am not a fan of baby legs, but I could do socks!!
