Remind me

To never go to the grocery store on the eve of anything. I forgot how crazy it is at the grocery store before Thanksgiving but I had to go for groceries and this was the first day it has not been raining. I thought that maybe at 2:00 ish that it wouldn't be that bad, well I was wrong. What should have taken me maybe 20-25 minutes took me a little over an hour. It only forever to get through the aisle and people would stop and just talk to each other and a few times I'm like could you please move trying to shop here. Some of them acted like they were the only ones shopping and who cares if you are trying to get around them.

The ones on the cell phones were the worse because they were just clueless. There were a few people I felt like telling them where they could shove that phone.

Check-out only took like 5 minutes. Remind me never to do this again.

Re: Remind me

  • I went shopping last night, and it was pretty bad.  Same thing...the checkout line moved really fast, but the aisles were crowded with people paying no attention to those around them.  I also waited about 15 minutes at the Pharmacy just to drop off DH's prescription...they just completely ignored that I was standing there.

I went back this morning (went for Starbucks, but they were also out of the Jiffy corn muffin mix last night, so I needed to get that).  Apparently, 8am the day before Thanksgiving is the perfect time to go grocery shopping!  There was almost no one there, and they were just finishing up restocking the aisles from yesterday.

  • I went on Tuesday around 11am thinking I'd be safe. I had the same problem, heather! folks everywhere and a ton kept stopping to 'talk' Like 4-6 people blocking the aisle just carrying on and even when i said excuse me, they wouldn't move! I had to back it up and go out the other end of the aisle a few times.

check out took a while. there was a girl not only couponing, but doing price matching on everything. so every item she bought, she had a different ad asking them to match the price....thankfully, a girl who was on an express line said I could come over there, so it didn't take too long.  :)

I will def. not be out black fridaying tomorrow. I can't take these crazy crowds!
