Re: Happy Turkey Day!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
I am so excited for tonight, we are having a Thanksgiving pot luck with my company peeps + a few other random American & European friends in Belgium. We have rented some tables & chairs, so our apartment is already set up with two tables of 8, table cloths, candle centerpieces, and plates - all ready to go.
When I get home I have to prep deviled eggs, bake the green bean casseroles, and heat up/cut up the turkey meat I cooked in the crock pot overnight. I am so excited! I love Thanksgiving and I love being a hostess. This is our second big hosting event and so far we're doing pretty good. I love when the party comes to me!
We're headed to the Maldives on Christmas Eve!
Happy Thanksgiving!
It's just a normal day for us Canadians, although I'd love to have a turkey dinner right now!
Happy Thanksgiving!
I have to work until 9 tonight, but I'm prepping turkey breasts in the crock pot. I've made some stuffed mushrooms and am going to bake some sweet potatoes. Apple crisp for dessert with vanilla ice cream. It's only DH and me, and he's not American. I don't know that many Americans here; I'm only friendly with about 2, and I don't see them that often.
Happy Thanksgiving!
We just ate our Thanksgiving meal. I decided last minute to run to the store to get some stuff. It was delicious and all I had to do was heat it up.
It was a nice little family meal. I even gave our pup a bite of turkey.
Happy Thanksgiving! Can not wait til work is over - always so strange working today knowing what everyone is doing back in the States. Which I was watching football and had the turkey in the oven getting ready for my food coma! DH and I are meeting up with 3 other couples (all English) at a pub that is serving Turkey with ALL the trimmings. We did a similar meal last year after work and while it had ALL the trimmings, it still just wasn't right. But it will be an enjoyable evening regardless. I decided to take tomorrow off just out of pity for myself so we can rleax and it feel like an actual holiday
I'm at work and can't stop checking facebook and getting jealous of everyone in the states!
I'm going over to a friends for dinner tonight, with mostly Americans. I've made a caramel apple cheesecake that I can't wait to eat!! But I have to work tomorrow so it won't be a big one. However, having another meal with a bunch of American friends on Sat ... the will be more like the main event!
Happy Thanksgiving, INs!
DH and I are in the States at my parents house. My sisters and their partners are here and my brother and his fiance are coming in this afternoon. It'll be the first time all 10 of us are together as a family (we were all together at our reception last January, but this is more intimate).
Gotta go help stuff the bird!
Happy Thanksgiving!
We're doing the whole Thanksgiving dinner thing tonight. I'm making adorable cupcakes that look like food.
There is a man down the road that dressed up like Santa every year and decorates his whole house and yard and lets people bring their kids and walk through. It's really cool, and he opens up on Thanksgiving - so we always go after dinner.
