Do you like pumpkin pie?

My husband and I have a long standing debate about this.

He insists that very, very few people like pumpkin pie (him NOT being one of them). I say that most people DO like it, and that he is the oddball. Truth be told, he's never even TRIED it so he wouldn't even know whether it was good or NOT!

Please weigh in, and prove me right.

Absolutely LOVE it. SS could devour an entire pie if we'd let him. DH asked for pumpkin pie for his birthday.

Love it, but it has to be cold. My mom and dad have been married almost 37 years, and for the first 30 she thought my dad liked it. He hates pumpkin pie! This was not discovered until my mom was feeling lazy and said she didn't want to make a pecan pie. My dad flipped out. We suddenly realized that he never ate the pumpkin. My mom was so embarrassed that she never noticed. Now there is always a pumpkin free dessert, although now it's also diabetic friendly.

I didn't like it growing up but will eat it now, but it is not my first choice. However, I am just now realizing if that was my only option for a dessert, I probably would pass it up. I do like other pumpkin related food items. Another special star - I am going to try the pumpkin pie that SIL bought from Costco.

I've made it with fresh pumpkin in the past, and it is so much better. I've heard a lot of TV chefs say that canned pumpkin is just as good or better, but for my taste, I totally disagree.

Absolutely--not the holiday without it. Although, I agree with the other gals...I like a little pie with my Cool Whip.

I'm neutral. It is not my first choice--I much prefer pecan pie. Yesterday I was so disappointed to see that my pie-baking aunt made a Kentucky derby pie instead of pecan. I did not eat any of her pumpkin pie. I went for a homemade coconut cake instead!

It's ok but not my first choice. However the rest of my family requires it at holidays. I do like it for breakfast, that was only allowed post thanksgiving in our house.
