Just a normal Thursday at work for me, but I know LOTS of people have today off.
I wish everyone that's celebrating a very happy Thanksgiving, and would be lying if I said I wasn't jealous of your 2 days off.
I don't have anything big planned for today. Derek might be joining my brother at my parents house to watch football this afternoon, so maybe I'll check out the sales at the mall. Apparently Canadian chains (or at lease divisions) wanted to get in on the Black Friday sales and most start today!

I'm off today. Was planning on the Detroit Turkey Trot but my friends bailed on me. Instead, I will go for my own run and then meet up with them at the bar to watch the football game. Won't be able to stay for the whole thing, though, because I have a doctors appointment at 2:15pm.
I'm hoping the doctor isn't too backed up because I want to go do some shopping after that. My Dad called yesterday that there were sales in the Babies r us ad and wants me to go look. He wants to buy our highchair. The 50% off one in the ad actually has some pretty terrible reviews so I hope there are some others that are nice and on sale.

I just woke up, I had 2 of my friends from college and their SO's over here last night until 1am. We were so loud and obnoxious (that may have been the wine/beer) but Myles slept through the whole thing!
I'm about to start making all my sides, though I forgot to add something to my list so I may have to brave the last minute shoppers and go get it.

Im feeling awesome. Darian finally slept OK last night. I mean, he still woke up twice but that's still way better than 5-6x. Keeping my fingers crossed that this keeps up.
Today I'm visiting another daycare. This one is a Montessori school. I like the Montessori philosophy but te one we visited on Tuesday night is a lot more convenient for us, location wise. Hmm.

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone has a great day.
Unfortunately, we got a text from my SIL a bit ago and my 4 1/2 year-old nephew had a good fall that landed him in the ER today. Good news is after x-rays and a cat scan they didn't find any neck or spinal damage, but poor little guy broke both his wrists trying to break the fall. I don't have the whole story, but I can't imagine.
Other than that, we're relaxing with my parents and doing a non-Thanksgiving dinner and enjoying each others company.
kari - That's got to be one heck of a fall to break both wrists. I'm curious to know what the heck he was doing.
We already shuffled family out the door and DH is napping. Well, he's really gone to bed on the couch. haha.
Food went well and the company wasn't too bad. I love my SIL, but I wish she would speak up for herself more often. I'm going to try and steal her for a night out sometime soon. I get the feeling she really needs it. Plus, she's really great to talk to when I get her by herself. I hate that her husband (DH's brother) is such a wanker sometimes. Well, all the time if you ask me.
My poor pup with the cast still on has started to go raw under her cast, so I'm going to try and get her in to have it looked at sooner than later. I'm hoping the vet didn't take a giant holiday as well. She doesn't have an appointment until Tuesday, which will absolutely suck if it's already infected. I can't wait for her to finally get this thing off!
