*DP* I need Dr spoilers
Does he ever get a happy ending? He's obviously in love with Rose and later he'll be in love with River. Does he ever get to be happy? I just want to hug him and tell him to be happy.
Seriously, this has been a great start to my Thanksgiving vacation. Thanks for the advice to start with 9, I loved him, but 10 I think will be my favorite. Although that might change when I meet 11. He has nice hair.

Well, if you want spoilers, the answer is, kind of.
At some point in the 10's season, another one of him is created that is human, and that one ends up staying with Rose in another dimension. Sorry that's confusing but it will make sense at the time.
Then later in 11's season, the Tardis's consciousness is trapped in a human's body and it's meant to answer why he never settles down with a person: because the Tardis is a living being and he is 'with' her. The episode is called The Doctor's Wife.
After they have their little moment and she is back in the machine, it kind of clears him to have a different relationship with someone else, and that's when they start developing the thing with River. Of all of the iterations of the doctor, 11 seems to be the most capable of real happiness with another person, although River herself is a very, very unique being, as you'll see
