Black Friday
Anyone braving the stores Friday? I don't know if I am going out. I might stay home and decorate.
I saw that Walmart is starting their sales Thursday night. I wonder if this is a way of stopping the huge rush that killed a couple of people when they opened the doors. Hmmm.

I was going to; mostly for the holiday decor from Home Depot. Then I got that stupid hospital bill that I griped about in another post.
I'm not sure, but I do think my BIL has to work (Wal-Mart) tomorrow. "Luckily" for him he works in the meat dept. so it shouldn't be too insane for him. I think the stores being open on Thanksgiving is just sad; I refuse to shop on a holiday.
Hell no! I hate crowds and I don't think the sales are that spectacular to get up at an ungodly hour and stand in line after line all day.
I'll be staying home and decorating.
Heck no. I'll be recovering from my food coma.

I'm not and I'm kind bummed about it
All I really wanted to do was go to JoAnn's because their door buster is fleece for $1.99 a yard.
I ended up going to NY&Co because they were having everything 50% off (and today I believe most things are an additional 10% off your total, if not everything) I needed a new suit for interviews, so I got pants, a skirt, and a jacket, plus one extra set of pants. I love their 50% off sales.

We failed and our tv hung out our trunk. He drove maybe 15 miles an hour because he didn't want his new "baby" to fall out.
I actually ended up going to Babies 'r Us and got a fantastic deal on a new crib and changing table. Now I would never have bought a changing table but since the special was for both and was less than what the crib alone would have been; couldn't pass it up. I'll just get some storage baskets for it and it'll be really useful. Bonus was the fact that the crib is a convertible crib so it'll grow with him.
Also, the glider I had my heart set on was on sale for more than 50% off - which my mom purchased as her gift for the baby. DD picked out some layettes that were 50% off and I just feel like I got the best out of a Black Friday that I ever thought I could. The store itself was not crowded at all; it was just the parking that was insane.
I was successful in getting the TV J wanted. I waited in line (outside) for 3 hours, but it was really calm & uneventful. I just sat in my folding chair on facebook. When the store opened the associates let everyone who didn't want a TV go in the store & those who wanted a TV just stayed in a separate line.
I've got it out of the box and the stand is put together but I can't lift the TV onto the stand.
I'm stalking my neighbors driveway for their car to show back up so I can ask for help.

I know which set you're talking about, it's the same one we have. What color did you get?
I got the espresso; seemed like a good color for a little boy to grow up with. What color do you have? How do you like it overall??
Did you get the help you needed to get the TV on the stand?
We have the espresso as well. The crib isn't together yet, but I like the changing table enough. It's sturdy & doesn't wobble.
I did! My neighbor came over & even he struggled with getting it in place. That thing is heavy!
