Gifts for 3 and 6 year old girl
I'm picking out some gifts for a family I know ... the wife/mom finally found a job this year, and the husband/dad has been unemployed for two years. I just want something nice but mail-able.
Any ideas for what to get 3 and 6 year old girls? I don't know what toys they particularly like to play with...should I just get some books? DVDs? Barbies? I'm so lost...

I'm a big fan of books for kids.
What's your budget? For their ages, some of the Leap Frog games/readers would be great, and you can shop on the site by age group. There's a bunch of bundles available that include the reader or gaming system and a couple of games from about $50+.
