Re: kindle fire

  • Get the iPad. It will be a life saver in just a few months with A too. Its worth it.
  • I also want the IPad, but we can't pay $500 for it. I was considering the Kindle Fire, but DH would rather us have an android tablet. So we are currently looking into those. I think we have it narrowed down to the Toshiba Thrive for about $350-$370 range.

The Kindle Fire had gotten great reviews but it doesn't compare to the IPad at all...so if you get it don't expect it to do everything the IPad does.

  • good to know! g wont splurge on the ipad... he refuses. i figured since he's always reading its something he can keep his books on. and i can use with A in the future! i guess i'll do more research!

  • I love my ipad2. They are on sale today http://store.apple.com/us
  • I have both the Toshiba Thrive and the Kindle Fire. I love them both. My DH mainly uses the Thrive and I use the kindle. The kindle is smaller but I can get pretty much all the same apps through the amazon market as the android tablet has. Its sturdy and the kids love it. I am able to read on it great, surf the web, play games and watch netfix. No complaints here.
