She called to ask if Steve and I mind being on our own for dinner tonight because a guy she met at her aunt's wedding just asked her out. Of course we don't mind! We're both really happy for her.
This will be her first date in several years and also the first one since her surgery. She's so excited... it's so cute!
I told Steve we will have to wait up for her to get home because I know she will want to talk about it afterward.

Good for her! How does your H feel about it?
My Mom has only joked about dating again, and says that she never will, but it is hard to imagine her being alone from here on out. That being said, it is weird to imagine her dating, or with another man period. How old is your MIL?
Steve is all for her dating again. It's been almost 15 years since her divorce and none of us even talk to FIL because he's a huge douchebag... I've never even met him.
MIL is turning 50 next year and she's super skinny after her surgery almost 2 years ago so dating again is kind of a big personal celebration for her.

Probably not. She said that he was nice and she had a good time, but she couldn't see them becoming more than friends. Then he called her four times in the span of about 12 hours after she told him she would be working all day and that killed his last chances. lol.
