I'm not an arsehole
I just became superstitious which is unlike me! Thank you for all your words, my dad is now doing much better. Not that I'm keeping track but the only times I have asked for any vibes thoughts or prayers was when my father was going to his appointment to find out if his biopsy was cancer which it was and then 2 weeks ago when he was admitted for pneumonia and he was doing better but then after I wrote about it he got much worst. So I started to feel like vibes, thoughts, and prayers don't work for me!
It has been a long 2 weeks but he is seriously a bionic man! He was in the ICU for 11 days and finally giving MUCHO thanks on Thanksgiving he was released to a regular floor. The day after I had posted he was just ok... but then that Monday night his breathing was bad and they called me in the middle of the night that they had to put him on a ventilator. He had to be sedated for a couple of days until the anti-biotics kicked in. After they stopped sedation they said it usually takes 24-48 hours for people to come around... it took my dad almost 6 days. They prepared us for the worst after the '48 hours' but finally at the beginning of last week he started to wake up. After he woke they had to keep the ventilator in for a few more days while keeping him calm and on Tues they felt that he would do 'ok' without it. Well he surpassed and in the doctors words 'blew them out of the water' with how well he came around. On Thanksgiving he was released to a regular hospital floor and is doing very well. He is extremely weak and right now is unable to walk so he needs quite a bit of physical therapy before they can release him to come home. Between Thanksgiving and the weekend physical therapy doctors haven't been around so my mom and I have been working with him with things they showed us we could do to help him loosen up which we have seen some improvement because he could not sit in a chair yesterday for more than 20 minutes and today he sat for an hr and 1/2. Also he is very confused which they say is normal from being in the ICU for so long and should clear up which already today we've seen a little less fogginess.
Everything has been slow but everyday has been better and hopefully will continue to.
