Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Runners - how can I find out about local races?
Is there a good site that lists upcoming 5 and 10ks in the near future? Most interested in anything Alexandria, Falls Church and in between. I'll see a notice for one here and there in local papers or signs on a telephone pole. But it's usually not enough notice to plan. There must be a better way to plan for a race a couple months out. thanks!

When I was running a lot of 5Ks and 10Ks, I'd find out about them here:

I'm sure there are other sites, but this one always seemed pretty comprehensive.
I signed up for the Washington Running Report, which has a monthly report of all the of the races in the area. Here's their site: http://www.runwashington.com/
