Hey guys! Seems like I never have time to write on her anymore! I try to at least read posts as often as I can though so I'm kinda up to date
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!!
Things with Bayou are...ok. He's healed really well but can't get up the stairs so we have to carry him when we go to bed. He's nearly 100lbs so it's no easy feat! He isn't back to normal though...we spoon feed him wet food or he won't eat. We brought our other dog Ace home which perked Bayou up a bit but will only play a little bit. It's so heartbreaking. My brother was here for Thanksgiving and got a couple pics of Bayou so my mom will spruce them up so I can frame them.
Gratia is doing great! She is basically walking, we are waiting till Andy and I can see her take a step at the same time for it to count. The first I saw it was the day before Thanksgiving, he's seen it since and we both saw it yesterday just not at the same time! So...maybe today it will count! She also said Mama today! She had been saying Mama..mamamamama...for the past couple weeks but I was waiting till there was NO confusion (and witnesses) for it to count
Our house is pretty busy now. Some friends of ours and their baby who is 3 weeks younger than Gratia are living with us through xmas, prob till sometime in Jan. They are going through a rough time financially and with their fam so we offered to help them out. It's fun bc the babies get to play together! So entertaining constantly and trying to attack the mound of xmas gift crafts is pretty much our life right now!
Here's a sneak peek of our xmas pics that my brother took. ![]()

I hope to take some more once we get a tree up! (yikes...a real tree with 3 dogs and 2 babies??? This should be interesting!)
I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season and eating lots of yummy goodness!!!!!
Re: Been a bit MIA so catching up
It is great to hear from you!! Your pictures is adorable!! I can't believe she is almost walking!
You sounds really busy!!
So glad to hear everything is going well for you and the family!!! And I LOVE this picture you posted! She is so photogenic!!!!
So great to hear from you, Gratia is so cute, I love seeing all her pics on FB!
Definitely sounds like you have a busy house but I am sure that will be a fun Christmas! And I will certainly keep sending my prayers to Bayou.

Thanks for the update. Gratia is such a gorgeous baby & so photogenic! I saw her 9 month photos on FB today. Each month is so creative! I look forward to seeing them. I can't belive that she's walking & talking.
So sorry that Bayou isn't doing well. It's so sad when our pets are sick or old. I have a lab that will be 10 in January & she has arthiritis (sp?) in her knees & has a really hard time in the winter.
I'll say a prayer that Bayou perks up soon.
It sounds like you guys are in for a festive holiday season with a full house! It should be a crazy, fun time.
Thanks for the update!
I'm sorry to hear that Bayou isn't adjusting well. Hopefully things get a little easier for him. Is he on any pain meds or any herbal type of pain meds? When Sadie hurt her leg earlier this year I bought some and it helped immensely. Not sure how much it will help Bayou but may be worth a try. http://www.herbsmithinc.com/Home/Canine/Herbs/ComfortAches/default.asp
I'm so happy that you were able to get some shots with Bayou. And Gratia is simply precious! Can't wait to see more family pics!
