Lurker with a clicky poll: yarn wreath
I'm planning on making a couple of patriotic yarn wreaths as gifts for Christmas this year. I'm getting hung up on whether to use white or off-white based on two examples that I've found on Pinterest:
Example 1 - Off-white:

Example 2 - White:

Also, any suggestions for the stars? I kind of like the idea of star buttons because it would be more 3 dimensional rather than iron on felt, but I'd love to hear your opinions!

This is what I was hoping to hear! If I was making it for myself it's what I would choose but being a gift I wanted to get some more opinions.
I'm still not sure what to do about the buttons/stars. I'm not sure if bronze or gold is really the look I'm going for, but I'm not sure what my options are if I'm going with the off-white.
I think if you went with fabric stars you would definitely want to make the wreath first and then take it with you to the store because it might look different once it's made (rather than comparing the ball of yarn to the fabric before)

This was very apparent when I was at the store looking at yarn colors!
The darker non-Crayola red looked better with the white, too. Thanks!
