Re: **kaesha**
Weeelll... I pretty much feel like I know no more than before the appointment. I had some blood work done, and scheduled an ultrasound for Tuesday afternoon and got a ton of info about the IPS testing and so on. But, because I'd been in for a physical 4 weeks ago, she didn't repeat an internal exam (should she have noticed I was pregnant back then?) so right now it feels like we're all just taking the word of the pee stick that I'm PG.
That feels weird, you know?
She also braced me for the possibility that we won't find a heartbeat on Tuesday. Phil has an exam that day, so he can't come with me, and I don't want to stress him out if this pregnancy isn't viable.
On the plus side, my GP told me that both she and her mum both had periods the first 3 months of each of their pregnancies. So... yay for not feeling freakish on that part!

Hmm. I don't think she would have found anything out about your pregnancy at the physical if you didn't say anything to her then. Hell, I went in for a physical when I knew I was pg and it wasn't until the nurse asked when my last period was that they even realized that I didn't need to be having on LOL.
Did they make you POAS/PIAC at the beginning of your appt though? That was always the first thing I had to do.
I'll be thinking of you on Tuesday.

Apparently they can tell because the cervix turns blueish! At least, that's what one of my best friends was told when she went in for her exam.
And no, no POASing either. It was a super random appointment.

Good luck on Tuesday.
I feel like a blue-ish cervix might be more of a case-by-case basis, or maybe caused by the increase in blood flow, which probably wouldn't be apparent until later on.
Re: POAS vs PIAC, I've had to PIAC each appointment but I have no idea if they used some of the pee for a test at my first appointment or not. Hopefully your doc will be able to give you some heads up about the b/w results before your u/s.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
