i think my living room is too small.. i can't figure otut where to put my xmas tree.. i'm seriously considering putting one of our couches in the spare room just for the christmas season.. but even if the love seat is gone.. i still can't imagine it.
anyone else have this problem?

we're having twins!
Re: i need help
In the apartment we lived in when we got married there was NO room for a tree. None. But we still wanted one, so we found one at Target that was fairly narrow. That helped, but its branches also folded upward pretty neatly so we put it against a wall with the back branches folded mostly up. It wasn't noticeable, but between the size and the branch-folding it worked.
If you want a real tree, it's harder... Maybe go small and put it on a small stand (so the wide part isn't so close to the ground and won't be kicked as you walk by). Or trim the widest part in the back so that it's flat and can fit closer to the wall.

we have a fake tree and it is huge.. there could be room for it.. it would just be really cramped. right nwo my living room looks a mess from me trying to move stuff around to accomodate the tree.
i might try to put it closer to the wall and fold the back part up.. that might work.

Any photos? I haven't had this problem. Granted, our current house is like 3x the size of our old house, but I always make room for the tree before I lay out the living room. ^^;; I love Christmas.
Have you thought of putting the tree in another room? Is there another room to put it in?
Any other rooms it could go in and you could still enjoy it? Do you entertain around the holidays? Would removing the couch be an issue with entertaining/seating?
At our first place, the tree eneded up between the living room and dining room.
Our living room is tiny, but the rest of the main floor is pretty open, so our tree is in an alcove just past the living room, and visible from the kitchen, living room and dining room.
We usually have to rearrange the furniture a little to make it fit. We've also moved either an arm chair or loveseat out to make it fit.
this. Or rearranging some furniture.
how would this even work?
Ask Amazon
lol. is that kinda like googling it?
i want a christmas tree. this apartment isn't it.. i think my tv stand is too big.. it's bugging me.
That is possibly the ugliest christmas tree i've ever seen (the amazon "chandelier" tree).
A neighbor down the street hangs a white tree fully decked out in hot pink lights in her bay window. I don't know how she does it, but it's a regular perfect-cone artificial tree. She and her husband are in their 70s and it cracks me up that they have this crazy tree, but are otherwise 100% conventional/conservative/etc.

We have a bitty 3-4' tree we stick up on a table and decorate, and then put presents on/below the table. Since we won't be in town for Xmas anyway, do you want to borrow it?
