Nothing new to report except the fact that I can't sleep.
Re: Just checking in
Thanks, I needed e-hugs after tonight.
Have you gotten any rest?
*Great big E-hugs*
I hope you had a good ECT session this morning & that you are able to get some rest soon. Its nice to see you posting. Wishing very good things for you, Damik.
Lots more e-hugs coming your way!
How do you feel you're doing overall (minus the sleep thing, of course)?
Well the treatments work well, but the effects don't last. So I'm yo-yoing. It is getting exhausting. We are going to do the treatments every Mon. Fri. now and hopefully that will keep me more stable. My sister is encouraging me to look into VNS which works in the same way as ECT except they implant a magnetic device into you vagus nerve and you activate it with a magnet when you need to. My regular Dr. Feelgood is cold on the idea and I'm not sure myself because it would be a major brain surgery. But because I see a positive effect from the ECT I would probably get a positive effect from the VNS except I would be able to control it.
I'm getting along pretty good in school. I should be done with all my work by the deadline. The snag I've run into is that even if I do get accepted I'm not supposed to miss more than 1 day of student teaching and I would miss more because of the ECT. I could appeal but I'm not sure I should. So there is that.
I'm doing some subbing so I'm getting used to being in the classroom and I've gotten to experience a variety of grade levels. I think I like third grade the best.
I did get some sleep after my treatment, you know as well as the relaxing sleep of anesthesia. (Not relaxing at all, I'm not sure why Micheal Jackson was so keen on it.)
