SO, who owns Apple TV? I understand most of its capabilities, but I'm a little fuzzy on a few things...
AM I right in understanding that I can basically project my laptop or iPhone on my tv using the Apple tv? So, for example, if I wanted to watch an episode of Modern Family from the ABC.com website, could I show this on the tv thru Apple tv??? Also, I have an Xfinity App for my phone, if I choose an on-demand episode thru my phone, can I play it on the tv over the Apple TV?
TIA, girls!
Re: Apple TV question
I haven't tried to stream anything from the internet on to the apple TV, so not sure if that works.
We use ours to watch Netflix. But the greatest thing about it is the ability to watch home videos and pictures on the big screen. Even the screen saver is a huge hit, it just picks random pictures from the laptop and scrolls through them. Huge hit at parties.
Yes, you can also mirror your laptop, as long as it's a mac.
I didn't know that. I have a macbook pro and can't figure it out. lol Mind telling me how?
I have absolutely no idea. My husband uses the Mac and does all that stuff. I just know that when the ipad wasn't charged he used the mac. I'm so sorry and he's not home right now.
I have a MacBook and would love hearing how I can mirror it on my apple tv. The only way I know how to is through iTunes. I don't know any way to do a projection from a web browser.
We cut cable, and now have the Apple TV. We use it mainly for our music library, but we also watch Netflix streaming on it. We also find random shows for DD on YouTube through the Apple TV. I think it's worth it for only $100, but if you already have an xbox or the like it's not really necessary. Being able to watch shows on the laptop through it would be way better.
I also plan to pay the $40 and get Mad Men Season 5 when it comes out.
